The
ELEVATION
command is used to create
an elevation view. The view can be an exterior
or interior elevation. An elevation is created by
aligning an elevation symbol with a feature in the
model, such as an exterior wall. The placement
of the symbol orients the viewing direction.
Then, the elevation is automatically generated
by the program.
Elevations are used to create the levels used
in the model. The
LEVEL
command is used to

Elevations are views that illustrate the exte-
rior features of each side of a building. Usually,
there are four default elevations in a model
fi le showing the north, south, east, and west
views of the building. Elevations are commonly
included in the drawing documentation to show
the fi nished appearance of the building. See
Figure 12-17.
