Compare Contextual Ribbon Tab Comparison Panel Description Toggles the draw order of objects unique to DWG 1 and DWG 2. Pick to place DWG 1 objects in front of or behind DWG 2 objects. DWG 1 objects appear in front of DWG 2 objects by default. Use the DWG 1: and DWG 2: controls to change the display and appearance of objects unique to DWG 1 and DWG 2. Pick the Visibility button, or light bulb icon, to display or hide DWG 1 or DWG 2 objects. Pick the Change Color button to select a different color for DWG 1 or DWG 2 objects from the Select Color dialog box. Pick the Open the file button, or folder icon, to open the DWG 1 or DWG 2 file. Use the Common To Both control to change the display and appearance of objects common to both DWG 1 and DWG 2. Pick the Visibility button to display or hide common objects. Pick the Change Color button to select a different color for common objects from the Select Color dialog box. Initiates the COMPAREINFO command and opens the Information about Compared Files dialog box. Pick the Insert in the Drawing button to add the data shown in the dialog box to the comparison drawing. The data is listed in a table object added to the drawing. Tables are explained later in this textbook. Pick the Copy to Clipboard button to copy the data to the Windows Clipboard for pasting into a separate document. Compare Filter Panel Description Toggles the display of all text common and unique to DWG 1 and DWG 2, including text objects and other objects that include text. Text appears by default. Toggles the display of hatch objects common and unique to DWG 1 and DWG 2. Hatch objects are explained later in this textbook. Hatch objects are not shown by default. Change Set Panel Description Toggles the display of revision clouds drawn when AutoCAD creates a comparison drawing. Revision clouds are shown by default. Specifies whether revision clouds have a rectangular shape around the general area of a change set or a polygonal shape around the perimeter of a change set. Revision clouds are rectangular by default. Use the slider to increase or decrease the margin between change sets and revision clouds. Revision clouds and change sets merge or separate when you adjust the size of the margin depending on their proximity to each other. Pick the Next (right arrow) or Previous (left arrow) button to zoom in on change sets in sequential order.
