Copyright  Goodheart-Willcox  Co.,  Inc.  50  AutoCAD  and  Its  Applications—Advanced  PROFESSIONAL  TIP  PROFESSIONAL  TIP  The  viewport  controls,  displayed  in  the  upper-left  corner  of  the  AutoCAD  drawing  window,  are  discussed  in  Chapter  1.  These  controls  provide  quick  access  to  preset  isometric  and  orthographic  views  and  settings  for  the  view  cube,  navigation  bar,  and  steering  wheels.  Use  the  viewport  controls  whenever  possible  to  increase  your  drawing  effi  ciency.  Keep  in  mind  that  undocked  palettes  may  hide  the  viewport  controls.  If  this  happens,  either  dock  the  palette  or  move  it  out  of  the  way.  Using  the  Navigation  Bar  to  Using  the  Navigation  Bar  to  Display  Models  Display  Models  By  default,  the  navigation  bar  appears  below  the  view  cube  on  the  right  side  of  the  screen.  See  Figure  3-2.  It  allows  you  to  use  the  navigation  tools  described  in  this  chapter,  as  well  as  the  ZOOM  and  PAN  commands  and  three  orbit  options.  The  NAVBAR  command  is  used  to  turn  on  or  off  the  display  of  the  navigation  bar.  The  navigation  bar  can  be  controlled  using  the  viewport  controls  by  selecting  Navigation  Bar  in  the  Viewport  Controls  fl  yout.  You  can  also  select  the  Navigation  Bar  button  in  the  Viewport  Tools  panel  of  the  View  ribbon  tab.
