512  AutoCAD  and  Its  Applications—Advanced  Copyright  Goodheart-Willcox  Co.,  Inc.  While  the  rendering  is  being  processed,  you  can  zoom  in  and  out  to  inspect  the  image.  Use  the  mouse  scroll  wheel  or  the  zoom  buttons  at  the  top  of  the  window.  When  the  rendering  is  completed,  you  can  save  it  to  an  image  fi  le.  Pick  the  save  button  at  the  top  of  the  window  to  display  a  standard  save  dialog  box.  The  rendering  can  be  saved  to  the  BMP,  TGA,  TIF,  JPEG,  or  PNG  format.  After  selecting  the  fi  le  format  and  picking  Save,  you  are  prompted  to  select  the  quality  of  the  image.  The  settings  are  different  for  each  image  type.  To  print  a  hard  copy  of  the  rendered  image,  pick  the  print  button  at  the  top  of  the  window.  Specify  the  print  device  in  the  Print  dialog  box.  This  dialog  box  is  similar  to  the  Plot  dialog  box  used  for  printing  drawings  from  model  space  or  paper  space.  History  and  Statistics  Pane  The  history  and  statistics  pane  does  not  initially  appear  when  the  Render  window  is  fi  rst  displayed.  To  expand  or  collapse  the  pane,  pick  the  vertical  arrow  button  shown  in  Figure  19-1.  The  history  and  statistics  pane  contains  a  list  of  all  of  the  renderings  completed  in  the  drawing  in  the  current  drawing  session.  The  items  in  this  list  are  called  history  entries.  Information  and  details  about  each  history  entry  appear  under  the  column  headings  at  the  top  of  the  list.  The  Preview  column  displays  a  thumbnail  view  of  the  rendered  image.  The  Output  File  Name  column  lists  the  name  of  the  rendered  image.  If  the  rendering  has  not  been  saved,  the  name  is  displayed  in  the  format  FileName-Tempn  with  n  representing  an  incremental  number.  The  Output  Size  column  lists  the  width  and  height  of  the  image  in  pixels  followed  by  inches.  The  Output  Resolution  column  lists  the  resolution  of  the  image  in  pixels  per  inch.  The  View  column  lists  the  name  of  the  view  that  was  rendered.  If  a  named  view  was  not  rendered,  the  listing  is  Current.  The  Render  Time  column  lists  the  amount  of  time  taken  to  complete  the  rendering  in  hours,  minutes,  and  seconds.
