Copyright Goodheart-Willcox Co., Inc. 308 AutoCAD and Its Applications—Advanced When the SOLIDEDIT command is entered at the keyboard, you are fi rst asked to select the component of the solid with which you wish to work. Specify Face, Edge, or Body. The editing options for the selected component are then displayed and are the same as those seen in Figure 12-1. The editing function is directly entered when the option is selected from the ribbon. This is why using the ribbon is the most effi cient method of entering the SOLIDEDIT command options. The following sections provide an overview of the solid model editing functions of the SOLIDEDIT command. Each option is explained and the results of each are shown. A tutorial later in the chapter illustrates how these options can be used to construct a model. Figure 12-1. Accessing the SOLIDEDIT command options.
