career. A series of jobs, usually in

often includes a progression
of jobs that may lead to

children in self-care. Children
who are regularly left without
direct adult supervision

child support. Payments made by
the noncustodial parent for
the fi nancial support of the

chlamydia. Widespread sexually
transmitted infection that can
be cured when detected, but
detection may be difficult
since most victims have no

cholesterol. A fat-like substance

chosen role. Role a person
