In foodservice, graphs are used to communicate data relating to sales, labor hours, customer satisfaction, work injury trends, and much more. Two graphs commonly used are the line and bar graphs. Both graphs have a vertical and horizontal line. The vertical line on the graph is called the Y axis. Y axis The horizontal line on the graph is called the X axis. X axis Data is organized between the X and Y axes differently for line and bar graphs. M i x I n M a t h Line Graph A line graph displays data as a series of points connected by a line.
