Dr. Clois E. Kicklighter
Dr. Clois E. Kicklighter is Dean Emeritus of
the School of Technology and Professor Emeritus
of Construction Technology at Indiana State Uni-
versity. He is a nationally known educator and
has held the highest leadership positions in the
National Association of Industrial Technology
including Chair of the National Board of Accredi-
tation,ChairoftheExecutiveBoard,President,and
Regional Director. Dr. Kicklighter was awarded
the respected Charles Keith Medal for exceptional
leadership in the technology profession.
Dr. Kicklighter is the author or coauthor of
Architecture: Residential DraftingandDesign;Modern
Masonry: Brick, Block, and Stone; Residential Housing
and Interiors; Modern Woodworking; and Upholstery
Fundamentals.
Dr. Kicklighter’s educational background
includesabaccalaureatedegreefromtheUniversity
of Florida, a master’s degree from Indiana State
University, and a doctorate from the University
of Maryland. His 40 years of experience includes
industrial, teaching, and administrative positions.
Dr. Walter C. Brown
During his career, Dr. Walter C. Brown
was a leading authority in the fi elds of drafting fi
and print reading. He served as a consultant to
industry on design and drafting standards and
procedures. He held a variety of professional
offi of state and national associations. He fices
authored several books in the fields of drafting, fi
print reading, and mathematics, and was a pro-
fessor in the Division of Technology at Arizona
State University in Tempe, Ariz.
