iv The following changes have been made to the eleventh edition of Electricity to strengthen the integrated learning solution and to remain up to date on the latest technology. Chapter 1: Safety is a new chapter that includes basic safety procedures in a lab setting. It also includes sections on electrical lab safety and soldering safety. Chapter 9: Series-Parallel Circuits moves combination circuits from the Parallel Circuits chapter for easier use. This new chapter builds on series and parallel circuit concepts and gives students more practice with these circuits. Chapter 21: Radio and Wireless Technology is a new chapter that introduces basic concepts of radio technology and transitions into current wireless technology. Figures have been updated to show newer technology and to help students make real-world connections with chapter concepts. End-of-Chapter material has been strengthened by the additions of a Summary and Critical Thinking Questions and Activities, which help extend learning through higher-order thinking skills and hands-on activities.
