Will you work for a company or own your own business? No matter what direction you choose, education and training will be necessary to be successful. There are many foundation skills that are necessary for success in any career. Some of those skills include: basic skills—reading, writing, listening, speaking, and math thinking skills—decision making, creative thinking, problem solving, visualization, reasoning personal qualities—self-management, integrity, honesty, sociability, responsibility technology skills—social media knowledge, software skills, systems skills and business skills—planning, organizing, negotiating, leadership, communication.
