5. Repeat Step 4 until you have enough points
placed on the large sheet of paper.
6. Connect all of the points until you have the
enlarged picture completed.
7. Look over your completed drawing and
refi ne some of your lines so that your
drawing looks like the original drawing or
picture.
8. Cut out your enlarged drawing and place
it on the workpiece. Trace around the outer
edge with a pencil.
9. Use a portable jigsaw or scroll saw to cut out
the fi nal shape.
Drawing Irregular Shapes
The best tool for drawing an irregular shape
on the workpiece is the fl exible curve. This
handy tool is made from a fl exible material and
is designed to bend into any desired shape or
curve. You can bend this material down to a
1″ radius and it will hold its shape and will not
spring back, Figure 4-24. Once you have the de-
sired shape, use a sharp pencil to trace around
the outline.
