sessions. Some are just run-throughs to work
on choreography. The full dress rehearsal
is a practice of the fi nished show, without
an audience present. It includes all apparel
changes, staging, lights, music, choreography,
and other aspects.
Rehearsals prepare all people involved for
a professional presentation, working through
any problems and adding fi nishing touches.
The fi nalized information and lineup are then
distributed to all committees for coordination
of the total show. The helpers and backstage
manager depend on the fi nal lineup that is
posted in several backstage locations, 23-31.
When show time arrives, models should
arrive half an hour to one hour before the
scheduled start of the show. They should bring
their own makeup and hair needs (unless makeup
and hair technicians have been hired), classic
shoes, and a selection of extra jewelry, belts,
scarves, hosiery, and undergarments. However,
most of these are usually provided, 23-32. All
models should check that the garments and
accessories in their changing area are correct
and arranged in order of appearance. See 23-33.
Mac Millan
