Recordkeeping
As you enter the world of work and adult responsibilities, certain
documents and papers will become important in managing your affairs. You
will need to find a safe place for these documents. Set up a filing system so
you can find them as needed. The process of setting up an organized system
for financial and legal documents is called recordkeeping. A legal document
is a paper that can be filed with a court officer or used to uphold an agreement
in a court of law, such as a marriage certificate, auto loan, mortgage, or credit
card agreement. Some records may be printed (hard) copies and others may
be digital. The important thing is to know where to find what you need when
you need it.
Bills
If you lose track of your bills, you run the risk of paying them late or not

your bills until you are ready to pay them.
Go Green
Did you know that the batteries in cell phones and iPods are composed of
hazardous materials that will harm the environment if they are disposed of
in a landfill? Batteries should always be properly recycled by a reputable
organization and never thrown in the regular trash. To be environmentally
savvy and save money, consider using rechargeable batteries.
Rechargeable batteries, like those in cell phones, can be used many times
and will save you trips to the store to purchase disposable batteries.
