Chapter 2 Making Smart Decisions 69
College and Career Readiness Portfolio
It is helpful to have a checklist of components that should
be included in your portfolio. Your instructor may provide
you with a checklist. If not, create your own checklist to use as
an ongoing reference as you create your portfolio throughout
this class.
1. Decide on the purpose of the portfolio you are creating—
temporary or short-term employment, career, or
application for college.

include that will help you create a professional portfolio.
Performance
Some competitive events for Career and
Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs)
have a performance portion. The activity
could potentially be a decision-making
scenario for which your team will provide a solution and present it to
the judges.
To prepare for the performance portion of a presentation, complete
the following activities.
1. On your organization’s website, locate a rubric or scoring sheet for
the event.

4-Oq‘bshbdsgdoqdrdms‘shnm-Xntrgntkchmsqnctbdxntqrdke+qduhdvsgd
topic that is being presented, defend the topic being presented, and
conclude with a summary.
6. After the presentation is complete, ask for feedback from your
instructor. You may consider also having a student audience listen
and give feedback.
