To remove a glove, grasp the gloved hand just below the cuff of the glove with the gloved fi ngers of the other hand. 13. Pull the cuff of the glove down, drawing it over your hand while turning it inside out (Figure 4.23). 17. Drop both gloves into the proper waste container. Never wash or reuse the gloves. Follow-up 18. Wash your hands according to procedure to ensure infection control. 19. Dry your hands with a clean, dry paper towel. Discard the paper towel into the proper waste container. 20. Putting on and removing disposable gloves are accepted and established standard procedures. They do not need to be reported or documented. Pull the glove off your hand and hold the removed glove with the other gloved hand (Figure 4.24). 15. Insert the fi ngers of the ungloved hand inside under the cuff of the glove on the other hand. 16. Pull the glove off inside out, drawing it over the fi rst glove (Figure 4.25).
