iv About the Authors Michael A. Barsamian is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and advanced graduate credits. He entered the field of career and technical education to prepare his students for their careers in industry. Mr. Barsamian has taught hand drafting, residential drafting, CAD drafting, and print reading for machine trades. In addition, he has provided consultation and customized training to machine shops and other related industries. Mr. Barsamian has incorporated his educational experiences throughout this text. Machine Trades Print Reading is a joint effort with Mr. Gizelbach to present a concise approach to print reading that makes the topic easy to understand. Richard Gizelbach completed an apprenticeship and became a Journeyman Machinist at Nordberg Mfg. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mr. Gizelbach holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Vocational Education degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Mr. Gizelbach also has a Specialist Certificate in Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Richard Gizelbach is a former instructor of Machine Shop and Computer Numerical Control Programs at Gateway Colleges in Kenosha, and Racine, Wisconsin. His exten- sive machining knowledge allowed him to develop and teach custom in-plant courses for Gateway and Milwaukee Technical College for several companies throughout southeast- ern Wisconsin. After retiring from Gateway, Mr. Gizelbach spent several years as a techni- cal instructor for Konecranes. He taught crane operation courses and rigging applications throughout the US and Canada at various manufacturing firms.
