Suggested Laboratory Activities
Do not attempt any suggested laboratory activities without your instructor’s permission.
Certain activities can render the PC operating system inoperable.
1. Create several partitions on a hard disk drive and then format the partitions
using FAT32.
2. Convert a basic FAT32 partition to an NTFS partition and then convert the
NTFS partition to dynamic disk.
3. Use the
diskpart
command to view the contents of a hard disk drive.
Familiarize yourself with the DiskPart command line options.
4. Install a RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 5 system. Remove a hard disk drive to
simulate a disk failure and then replace the hard disk drive with a new hard
disk drive and rebuild the missing data.
5. Explore the iSCSI Initiator administrative tool in Windows 7.
