8. Video history. Interview your
grandparents on video about their
parents and family members.
Discuss how they feel the family
has changed over the years. If
possible, share the video at a
special time such as an anniversary,
holiday, or birthday.

9. Create a calendar with photographs
and dates of important events in
your family’s life history. Write
your impressions about the
signifi cance of the photographs to
your family history.

10. Work with your peers to create a
Families First project—a national
peer education program to help
you gain a better understanding
of how family members can work
together to strengthen the family
bond. Project topics may include
understanding and celebrating
diverse families, strengthening
family relationships, overcoming
obstacles, managing multiple
responsibilities, or learning to
nurture children. Use the
FCCLA Planning Process as your
guide in planning your project.
