A photo of a girl using a school-owned desktop computer appears. The screen splits into halves, shifting the picture to the right. Simultaneously, the left side introduces the video’s title, “AET for your SAE,” creating a seamless visual transition.
A computer monitor displays the AET website as a cursor navigates through the site. In a computer lab, a teacher explains the AET website to a student. Students in a classroom are engaged in working on desktop computers.
The Ag Experience Tracker, or AET, is an online individualized program that is designed to help you manage your entire agricultural education experience.
On the screen, the homepage of AET is displayed, showing a message that reads 'Welcome to the student dashboard.' The screen showcases various options such as Profile, Journal, Finances, and Reports.
The AET is basically an educational and financial recordkeeping system. It includes resources for you to: create a personal profile, journal your time investment in activities, keep records of financial transactions, and generate reports to help manage and evaluate projects, degrees, and applications.
The screen displays a website called 'Explore SAE by AET ATM TEA.' A user is seen navigating through the different sections of the website.
The AET contains links to resources that allow you to explore SAE enterprises and select an SAE that will meet your interests and your available resources.
The AET website screen shows a student login page. A user enters the chapter name as credentials. An agriculture science instructor gestures toward a screen, providing guidance to a student in a classroom. The homepage screen of AET reappears.
To use the Ag Experience Tracker, you will need: a Chapter number, a Username, and a Password. Your agricultural science instructor will provide these to you before you begin. After logging in, you will find four main tabs: Profile, Journal, Finances, and Reports.
The profile section is visible, scrolling down on the screen. A user navigates through this section, making edits and selections within the profile.
The PROFILE section will allow you to enter personal information, add photos, and record classes, offices, committees, and judging events you are involved in. You will also be able to evaluate and keep track of your interests, and review any teacher assessments you receive.
The website displays the journal section on the screen. A user interacts with and navigates through this section, making various selections and entries within the journal.
The JOURNAL section is where you will record your time investment. You will keep track of classroom time, community service, officer service, committee service, competitions and events, and all of the time you spend working on your individual SAE projects.
The Student Finances section is displayed on the website. A user proceeds to navigate through the finances tab, exploring its contents.
Under the FINANCES tab, you will record cash income and expenses, non-cash income and expenses, and any paychecks you may receive – depending on the type of SAE you have. There will also be a place to record Capital Items, Loans, or Non-SAE items.
The Student Report section of the website opens, presenting three main tabs: Journal & Résumé Reports, SAE & Profit Reports, and Annual Reports & FFA Apps. A user navigates the section. The screen splits into two halves. A girl using the AET website on a desktop appears on the right side and the reports appear on the left side as bullet points. These include, Journal & Résumé, SAE & Profit reports, Annual evaluation reports, FFA applications, and Complete record books.
Finally, the REPORTS area will collect all the information you have entered and generate reports including: Journal and résumé, SAE and Profit reports, Annual evaluation reports, FFA applications, and Complete record books. These reports will help you manage projects, evaluate your success, and share information you have learned with others.
The class using the AET website on their computers reappears. A user navigates to the FFA Degree/Application Manager section on the AET website.
Careful evaluation of reports will allow you to make positive changes from year to year throughout your experience. And the system will streamline the process for you when applying for FFA Degrees and Proficiency Awards. There are also resources for you to explore potential areas of interest and SAE enterprises. As you begin to use the AET program, you will find it provides a detailed method of maintaining records. This will help you learn more from your experiences and manage them throughout your time in agricultural education classes.
The AET website screen displays a section titled 'Selecting an SAE and Creating the Experience in AET.' As the screen scrolls down, the scene transitions back to the classroom where the students are using desktop computers.
