Circular Styles
The most common design shape is the circle. Centerpieces, nosegays, and vase arrangements
are typically produced using the circle or round form as a guide. Variations on the basic circular form
include the fan design, which is semicircular, and the elongated oval and pointed oval designs. A pointed
oval design is an oval shape that is rounded at the bottom, but narrows to a gentle point at the top. See
Figure 10-2. The crescent and the Hogarth curve are also variations of a circular design style. See Figure 10-3.
