This position is responsible for the day-to-day activities in an organization. Typical duties of supervisory management level include: • training employees • supervising and assigning daily activities and tasks to employees • maintaining quality of work • evaluating the performance of employees • communicating employee problems, suggestions, and recommendations to middle management • helping solve employee grievances and • motivating employees. The supervisory level is the first level of the management pyramid. It is generally the initial management position that most managers earn. A person promoted to a supervisory position has the technical experience necessary for the job and has earned respect as a person who can direct others to accomplish tasks.
