Career Knowledge and Skills
Different jobs require different skills and knowledge. However,
different jobs also require certain similar abilities in all workers,
no matter what jobs they hold. Companies try to hire workers who
possess the knowledge and skills needed for success. Skills are the
things that you do well. Employers tend to prefer employees with
skills that can transfer from one job to another.
Preparation for the world of work begins long before you actually
have a job or career. Workplace readiness involves the knowledge and
