Chapter 2 Understanding Work-Based Learning
¶ Make sure you clearly understand the assignment. When you
do not understand what to do, ask the teacher.
¶ Complete your class assignments every day. Completing
assignments is especially important during the classroom
portion of your experience.
¶ Set aside a time and place to study. If possible, study at
the same time every day, and make sure the atmosphere is
appropriate for the way you learn best.
¶ When it is time to study, begin immediately. Go to your
study place with an attitude that studying is the only thing you
want to accomplish.
¶ Study in small segments of time. Two separate 30-minute
study periods may be better for you than an hour-long study
period.
¶ Do the more difficult assignments first. Studying only the
easy subjects may leave little time for harder assignments.
¶ Use your time wisely. Effective use of time will give you
more time for yourself and the activities you particularly enjoy
doing.
¶ Use your computer. Using your computer is a great way to
s‘jdmnsdr‘rvdkk‘rhloqnudxntqvqhshmfrjhkkr:enqdw‘lokd+
spreadsheets can help you organize and prioritize your
assignments.
Your teacher will give you assignments related to your job
experiences and personal life. By completing these assignments, you
will gain knowledge and skills that will help you succeed in both
school and work. You will also find that the more success you have the
more you will enjoy school.
