Chapter 1 A Close-Up View of You
ways can you respond with resiliency? What
can you do to stimulate your own growth to
maximum development?

developing as it gets used? You can learn a new
skill, read more, or develop new interests. As you
learn something new and expand your interests,
your brain development increases. Do not worry
about the “brain power” you do not have. Make
the most of what you have and you will gain

experiences will help you progress to maturity.
They encourage you to act independently, tackle
challenges, develop your identity, and extend
yourself into a new generation.
