Th e Importance of Personal Hygiene
Other people’s impressions of you are infl uenced by the way you
look. Your appearance can also have a great impact on your self-image.
However, you do not need beautiful features to be attractive. Your
appearance is largely determined by the way you care for yourself.
Basic hygiene, or cleansing practices that promote good health,
includes your whole body. Taking a bath or shower every day and caring
for your skin, teeth, and hair play an important role in presenting an
attractive appearance.
