In teams, research, debate, and form a group opinion on each of the Level
Up! activities in this chapter. Prepare a PowerPoint presentation of ten slides
(fi ve to seven minutes) to present to the class explaining the team’s opinions
for each Level Up! activity. Include text, pictures, video, animations, and slide
transitions as appropriate to help explain the team’s position.
You will create both a print portfolio and an e-portfolio in this class. You have
already decided how to store hard copy items for your print portfolio. Now you need
to create a plan for storing and organizing materials for your e-portfolio. Ask your
instructor where to save your documents. This could be on the school’s network or
a fl ash drive of your own. Think about how to organize related fi les into categories.
For example, school transcripts and diplomas might be one category, awards and
certifi cates might be another category, game builds in another, and so on. Next,
consider how you will name the fi les. The names for folders and fi les should be
descriptive, but not too long. This naming system will be for your use. You will
decide in a later activity how to present your electronic fi les for viewers.
1. Create a folder on the network drive or fl ash drive in which you will save
your fi les.
2. Write a few sentences to describe how you will name the subfolders and
fi les for your portfolio.
3. Create the subfolders to organize the fi les using your naming system.
