cable. Install the new cable, being careful not to damage
the cable sheath or the boot at the entrance to the passen-
ger compartment. Attach the cable end at the apply lever,
and install the cable into any guides used. Then slide the
cable end threaded shaft through the equalizer and install
the adjusting nut. Adjust the cable as needed and install
and tighten the locknut. Figure 19-15 shows a typical front
cable layout.
