Drawing Problems - Chapter 7 Copyright Goodheart-Willcox Co., Inc. 170 AutoCAD and Its Applications—Advanced 8. Architectural Use the LOFT command to create a window curtain. Create a spline or a polyline converted into a spline similar to the top profile object (A). Position the spline at the top of the window on the left side. Copy the spline and position it about halfway down the window. Use the SCALE command to make the copied spline smaller but keep the outside edge lined up with the top spline. You may want to use grips to edit the spline and make the pleats deeper after scaling. Copy the smaller spline to the bottom near the floor. The three splines will be used for the first loft object. Mirror the three splines to the other side of the window for the second loft object. When creating each loft, experiment with the settings in the Loft Settings dialog box to change the appearance of the curtain to your liking. If desired, create a simple 3D model of a room with a window opening including the window curtain. Save the drawing as P7-8.
