Then, press and release the [Ctrl] key to cycle through the options. Moving an edge. A—Selecting the edge and then hovering over the base grip displays the base grip shortcut menu. B—Using the Extend Adjacent Faces option maintains the orientation of the moved edge, but its length is modified because the planes of adjacent faces are maintained. C—When using the Move Edge option, the edge maintains its length and orientation, but the shape and planes of adjacent faces are changed. D—When using the Allow Triangulation option, the adjacent faces may be triangulated.
