To expand a tile menu, hover over the tile menu button. The expanded menus are shown in Figure 15-5. Many of the buttons in the tile menus display a fl yout when you hover over the button. The Home tile menu contains tools for managing the project. The Display Settings tile menu contains tools for changing the color display, applying lighting, changing the point size, and toggling the display of navigation tools. The Navigation tile menu contains the standard navigation tools, such as zoom, pan, and orbit. The view cube, which is displayed by default in the upper- right corner of the Project screen, can also be used to adjust the view. The Search tool is used to search for items within the project. This allows you to enter search terms to locate and edit specifi c items, such as scan regions or view states, which are discussed later in this section. The Project screen contains additional tools at the bottom of the screen. The context-sensitive menu in the middle displays tools appropriate for the current mode, view, or selection. The Selection Tool fl yout contains tools for making a window, fence, or plane selection in the point cloud. You can use these tools to delete points or create a clipping boundary. The Annotation Tool fl yout contains tools for measuring a linear distance, measuring an angular value, and inserting a note at a selected point. The Limit Box fl yout contains tools for confi guring a limit box. A limit box is a cropped area defi ning the width, length, and depth of a three-dimensional portion of the point cloud. Picking the Open nearest RealView button displays a panoramic view of the point cloud. See Figure 15-6.
