Copyright  Goodheart-Willcox  Co.,  Inc.  442  AutoCAD  and  Its  Applications—Advanced  Materials  Browser  Materials  Browser  In  AutoCAD,  the  Materials  Browser  palette  is  used  to  manage  the  materials  library.  In  this  chapter,  the  Materials  Browser  palette  is  referred  to  as  the  materials  browser.  The  mate-  rials  browser  provides  access  to  all  materials  that  are  available  in  the  Autodesk  libraries  and  from  other  sources.  The  Materials  panel  in  the  Visualize  tab  of  the  ribbon  contains  buttons  for  accessing  the  materials  browser  and  the  materials  editor.  See  Figure  17-1.  There  are  two  main  areas  in  the  materials  browser,  Figure  17-2.  The  Document  Materials  area  contains  materials  that  have  been  selected  for  use  in  the  current  drawing.  The  Library  area  shows  all  available  libraries  from  which  materials  may  be  selected.  These  areas  are  discussed  in  more  detail  in  the  next  sections.
