This makes it easier for the welder to merge the views in his or her mind and to form a mental picture of the object, Figure 5-2. In developing the needed views, the entire object is normally viewed from six directions: front, top, left side, right side, rear, and bottom views, Figure 5-3. The same object is viewed separately from these various directions of sight, Figure 5-4. Figure 5-2.
