Replacing Text To replace specifi c text in Microsoft Offi ce, click Home Editing Replace in the ribbon or press the [Ctrl][H] key combination. The Find and Replace dialog box is displayed (or the Replace dialog box in Microsoft PowerPoint). Click in the Find what: text box, and enter the word to locate. Next, click in the Replace with: text box, and enter the word to substitute. Click the Find Next button. The view of the document is automatically centered on the fi rst instance of the word, and the word is selected. To replace that instance, click the Replace button, and the next instance is automatically located. To leave the located instance the way it is, click the Find Next button. To replace all instances in the document, click the Replace All button. The Replace All option should be used carefully as you will not have the opportunity to confi rm each replacement. Moving, Copying, Cutting, and Pasting Text and Images The system clipboard is used to copy and paste content. The system clipboard is a virtual container for storing data. When new data are placed on the clipboard, the existing clipboard content is deleted. The current content of the clipboard remains until the computer is turned off or restarted.
