After you add your new company to your pro- file, search for and join the company’s groups or social networking pages, if applicable. It is important to stay up to date with those in your network who agreed to be personal references for you during the employment process. Place a phone call or send an e-mail to each person with the news that you have accepted a position. Provide each person with your new company’s name and your job title, and let them know that you appreciate the reference they provided for you. Offer to return the favor and provide them with a professional reference when needed. Visit the employment websites and job boards where your résumé is posted.
