Z.A. Prust is retired after having taught 40 years.
He has been honored with several awards throughout
his career, including the Fred J. Hartman Award from
the International Graphic Arts Education Association
and the Award of Excellence from the Graphic Arts
Technical Foundation. During his career, he taught
printing at the junior high school, high school, and
college levels. The majority of his teaching career
was spent at Arizona State University, and he
retired as the Associate Director of the Division
of Technology and the Graphic Communications
Program Coordinator. He was elected to the
Ben Franklin Honor Society of Printing Industries
of America. He has served on many local, regional,
and national committees and has been a member of
several professional and social groups. In addition
to Graphic Communications, Prust is the author
of several articles in communications and printing
magazines and journals. Two awards have been
given in his name since 1987: the Z.A. “Zeke” Prust
Award of Recognition at Arizona State University and
the Z.A. Prust Industry Achievement Award, Printing
Industries Association, Inc., of Arizona.
