segment.

food, lodging, travel, tourism, and recreation—
must successfully meet customer needs. Imagine
you are taking a vacation to New York City. What
hospitality workers would you encounter on your
trip? Who is responsible for making your trip to

To get ready, you will need to reserve a fl ight

agents on the phone or through each company’s
website. To plan activities for each day of the trip,

On the day of your trip, you arrive at the air-
port. You may interact with reservation agents,
security offi cers, and fl ight attendants. After arriv-
