Fit Sheet on One Page
option in Excel is handy if the spreadsheet is larger
than one page.
In some applications, such as Word and PowerPoint, the number of
pages printed on each sheet of paper can be set. The default is one page
per sheet. Printing more than one page per sheet decreases the size of
each page. How it will appear is not refl in the preview. Printing flected
more than one page per sheet is useful for creating handouts, but can
make the individual pages hard to read.

Printing an Office Document
It is common to print a document, whether on paper or to a fi le via a virtual printer. It is fi
important to understand how to make settings when printing a document.
1. Applying what you have learned, maximize Microsoft Excel if it is open, or launch Excel
and begin a new blank document.
2. If not already in the spreadsheet, add this formula to cell A2: =TODAY().
3. Click the
File
tab to display the backstage view.
4. Click
in the backstage view to display the print preview and the options.
5. Select the printer specifi ed by your instructor. fi
6. In the
Settings
area, click the bottom drop-down list, and click
Fit Sheet on One
Page. This
option forces the spreadsheet to print on a single page, although in this case the content of
the spreadsheet would fi t on a single page without using this option. fi
7. Click the
button at the top of the backstage view.
