In Windows 10 and Windows 8, you can also click the Delete button in the Organize group on the Home tab of the ribbon in File Explorer. In Windows 7, you can also click the Organize button on the Windows Explorer toolbar and then click Delete in the drop-down menu. No matter which method is used, a dialog box appears asking to confi rm the deletion. Click the Yes button to delete the selected fi le or folder. Click the No button to cancel the operation. Restoring When asked to confi rm a deletion, the dialog box asks Are you sure you want to move this folder to the Recycle Bin? Windows uses the concept of a recycle bin as an undelete function for deleted fi les and folders. The recycle bin is a special folder used as a collection point for all fi les and folders that have been deleted. It can hold a certain volume of deleted material, and the maximum size can be changed. As long as a deleted fi le or folder is stored in the recycle bin, it can be restored or undeleted.
