Introduction
Deciding what to do to earn a living is one of the most important
decisions you will ever make. Like any important decision, having all
the information you need improves your chance of making a good
one.
Before making a career decision, you will need to become familiar
with the workplace and the requirements of different occupations.
Basic information about the world of work can be obtained in
many ways. Information can be obtained from school counselors,
the Internet, the library, as well as many other sources. It is very
important, however, to confirm what you learn about the work world
through actual exposure to the workplace.
