Copyright Goodheart-Willcox Co., Inc. 102 3. Expand the Windows Logs branch. Notice the branches listed below it match the logs listed in the middle pane. Select the System branch, as shown. The system log is displayed in the middle pane. 4. Click the Source column heading. The events are sorted in order by the name of the source. By clicking any of the column headings, the view can be sorted in ascending or descending order by column. The default order of events is by date and time with the most recent event at the top. 5. Double-click any event in the list. Additional information about that event is displayed in a dialog box. Click the Close button to exit the information. 6. The right-hand pane is the Actions pane. This is where you can perform additional tasks, such as searching, filtering, and saving. Click Find… to display a search box, and enter DHCP. The first event that references DHCP is selected in the list (it may take a few seconds to find).
