Office Technology Integration Creating PowerPoint Frame Animation 1. Launch Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software, and open the vocabulary spreadsheet you updated in the last lesson. 2. Applying what you have learned, add a new worksheet, and name it Lesson 10. 3. Add each of the vocabulary words and definitions from the Vocabulary section of this lesson. 4. Save the spreadsheet, and then close it. 5. Launch Microsoft PowerPoint, start a new blank presentation, and save the file as LastName_FrameAnimation in your working folder. 6. Change the layout so the slide is blank with no text boxes. 7. Insert an oval shape, and set its size to 1.0 inch by 1.0 inch. 8. Move the circle so that its center is at the top-left corner of the slide. The object will be partially off of the slide. 9. Draw a rectangle at the bottom of the slide. Make it as wide as the slide and .7 inches tall. Change the fill color to brown and remove the outline. 10. Click the View tab in the ribbon. In the Show group, check the Gridlines check box to display the grid. 11. Copy the circle and place the copy to fit in the grid square that is over one and down two from the top-left corner. 12. Create eight additional copies and place them as shown. Three of the circles should be just touching the rectangle. Layout Oval Rectangle Click to show the grid Place copies Goodheart-Willcox Publisher 13. Right-click on the mini slide in slide sorter on the left, and click Copy in the shortcut menu. Right-click again, and click the Use Destination Theme button in the Paste Options section of the shortcut menu. Paste nine copies so there is a total of ten slides. Each slide will be one frame in the animation.
