Illinois Drafting Educators Association; the Instructor Quality Award by Autodesk;
Autodesk University Instructor Award; Professor of the Year, Co-Innovator of the Year,
and Co-Master Teacher awards at Moraine Valley Community College; and the Illinois
Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year awarded by the Illinois Community College
Trustees Association. J.C. was also one of the recipients of the Top 10 Most Popular
Autodesk University Classes Ever for his class Compelling 3D Features in AutoCAD.
J.C. is an Autodesk Certified Instructor and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a fi
Master’s degree in Industrial Technology from Illinois State University.
Craig P. Black is an instructor in the Mechanical Design Technology department and
the former manager of the Autodesk Premier Training Center at Fox Valley Technical
College in Appleton, WI. He has been teaching at Fox Valley Technical College since 1990.
In 2009, Craig created the CAD Management certifi program at FVTC. Craig has served ficate
two terms on the Autodesk Training Center Executive Committee (now known as the
Autodesk Leadership Council) and chaired the committee in 2001. He has been working
with Autodesk software products for more than 25 years. He has presented on various
topics at a number ofAutodesk Universityannual trainingsessions and has been contracted
to teach training sessions on Autodesk products across the United States. In addition to
teaching, Craig also does AutoCAD customization and AutoLISP and DCL programming
for area businesses and industries. Prior to his current position, Craig worked in the civil,
architectural, electrical, and mechanical drafting and design disciplines.
Adam M. Ferris is the Director of Digital Technology at Wilson Architects in Boston,
MA. Wilson Architects is a medium-size architecture fi rm specializing in the science fi
and technology field. Adam is currently working on and defining fi new procedures fi
on BIM effi and delivery methods with his clients. Adam is an award-winning ficiency
Autodesk Certified Instructor with over 17 years of experience on training Autodesk fi
products in the Boston area. He has trained over 4000 students in New England. Prior
to joining Wilson Architects, Adam owned an Autodesk products/CAD consulting
fi rm aiding businesses in efficient fi AutoCAD configurations fi and management, network fi
management, and 3D visualization with Autodesk 3ds Max. Adam attends Autodesk
University annually and has lectured there several times.
