Family crisis counselors provide
guidance and support to help
families deal with overwhelming or
traumatic problems. These include
natural disasters, sexual assault
or other criminal victimization;
medical illness; mental illness;
thoughts of suicide or homicide;
and loss or drastic changes in
relationships, such as the death of
a loved one or divorce.
