Asking questions: An interview is also a
time for you to learn about the job. You need
to learn enough about the job and the work
environment to determine whether you
would be happy working there.
Another critical aspect of an interview is the
visual impression you make. Take great care in
deciding what to wear to an interview. On many
hospitality jobs, you will be required to wear a
uniform. However, when you interview, you
should look professional, clean, and well
groomed, 23-18.
You may be given a test as part of your
interview. For example, if you are applying for
an accounting job, you may have to take a
computation test. In addition, if you have earned
any certificates or honors, bring them with you.

23-15 An interview is a formal meeting between two or more people, during which questions are asked of one
person. At the beginning of a job interview, the job applicant usually gives a copy of his or her resume to the
interviewer.
