be taken is permanent. However, actions such as deleting, formatting, and
moving text, as well as many other actions, can be quickly reversed with
the
Undo
command. It is also possible to redo an action that was reversed
with the
Undo
command. The
Redo
command restores the last action
undone.
In Microsoft Offi the fice,
Undo
and
Redo
commands are located on the
Quick Access
toolbar. Clicking the
Undo
button reverses the last action.
The
[Ctrl][Z]
key combination is the shortcut for undo. Clicking the drop-
down arrow next to the
Undo
button displays a list of actions that can be
undone. This list allows the user to select multiple actions to undo in one
step, but actions must be undone in order. You cannot pick and choose
which actions to undo. Clicking the
Redo
button restores the last undone
action. The
[Ctrl][Y]
keyboard combination is the shortcut for redo. Only
one action can be redone at a time.
FYI FYI
The
Repeat
command
can be used to duplicate
the last action.
