Retailing and E-tailing will help guide you in understanding how this industry affects your decisions as a consumer, as well as the career you might choose. One of the goals of a retailing and e-tailing textbook is to show how these businesses share fundamental retail practices. Both businesses sell to customers and apply similar marketing concepts. The obvious difference is that one is a brick-and-mortar model and the other is an online model. As basic theory is presented, the application to both is discussed. To highlight the e-tail model, two chapters are dedicated to creating an e-tail website. It is all about getting ready for college and career.
